The ground floor is weatherboarded, while the upper floor is roughcast, and both have modern red tile roofs. The buildings are two storeys high and feature a continuous wooden eaves cornice with dentil moulding. No 226 boasts an impressive doorcase with fluted Ionic pilasters, an entablature with a modillioned cornice and pediment, and a flush panel door. Both ground and first floor have casement windows with glazing bars. No 228 contains a modern ground floor shop.
