Description
The Cedars Park Grotto is a large structure from the late 18th century located at the south end of the central part of Cedars Park in Waltham Cross. It is built from flint and rubble with red brick walling. The grotto features a taller central section that has three pointed-arch openings, which are topped by five small round-headed brick niches arranged in an arch profile. There is also a flint-arched niche on the east side. Flanking the central section are two domed free-standing pavilions, which are set forward to the left and right. These pavilions have triangular-arched openings and their interiors are finished with painted brick and modern cement.
