Description
Old School Hall, Old School Cottage, and Old School House are a former school and school mistress's house dating from the mid to late 19th century. They are designed in an early Gothic style and constructed of red brick with stone dressings, featuring steeply pitched slate roofs. The buildings are one storey with attics. A prominent polygonal tower on the west side showcases polychrome banding, a dentilled cornice, and a patterned slate roof. The north elevation includes two ornamental bargeboards over projecting bays, with mullioned and transomed windows on the ground floor and a cusped attic window that is rounded on the left side. The east gable end features cusped bargeboards and a large four-centre arch window. These buildings are included for their group value.
