Description
Hailey Cottage is a building from the 16th and 17th centuries, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features a timber frame construction, covered in painted stucco and plaster, topped with an old tile roof. The cottage consists of four bays and has a two-bay rear extension. It stands two storeys tall and has four windows. A projecting gabled bay is located at the right center, adorned with a cusped bargeboard. The ground floor has canted tiled casement bows on the south side and a 6/6-pane sash window on the north side. On the first floor, there are two-light leaded casements. The interior showcases a complete exposed timber frame, primarily from the 16th century, with the southern bay featuring contemporary panelling from the mid-17th century and the western bay of the rear extension dating from the 17th century.
