Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a building with probable origins in the 16th century, which has been altered in the 17th, 18th, and mid-19th centuries. It features a timber frame that is plastered and stuccoed, topped with an old tile roof. The cottage is designed in an L-shape and has two storeys. The projecting northern end has two gable ends facing the road, both adorned with cusped bargeboards. The entire range has similar cusped window surrounds. The door on the south side of the front projection has 18th-century fielded panels, an architrave surround with consoles, and 19th-century sidelights. The southern portion of the cottage has two 18th-century sash windows. The interior has been altered, and there are modern additions at the rear.
