Description
No. 165 High Road in Broxbourne is a building from the early to mid-19th century, possibly with origins in the 18th century. It features a painted stucco exterior and a hipped slate roof, rising to two storeys. The façade includes four widely spaced sash windows with flush frames set in moulded architrave surrounds. The ground floor windows have cornices supported by consoles and friezes adorned with paterae. The entrance boasts a fielded-panel door, while a modern porch has been added beneath a replacement window. Additionally, there is a wide-plank door on the north side, which includes a spy hole, a moulded frame, and a bracketed hood.
