Description

This is a barn located approximately 60 meters southwest of Mascallsbury, dating from the mid-16th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, featuring an aisle design with a corrugated asbestos half hipped roof that has gablets and a central midstrey. The barn consists of six bays and is constructed with a Queen Post roof. It includes arch braced side purlins and arched braced tie beams, along with halved passing braces to the aisles. The aisle posts are jowled, and there is a halved and bridled scarf joint at the arcade plate.
