Description

This barn, located southwest of Sallets Farmhouse, dates from the late 14th century and underwent extensive alterations in the late 16th century. It features a timber frame that is both plastered and weatherboarded, topped with a half hipped roof made of corrugated asbestos. The barn is five bays long, with walls constructed of widely spaced studs from the 14th century, along with intermediate studs. The top plates and side purlin roof are from the late 16th century.
