Description
Wells Tye Farmhouse is a 16th-century house featuring a jettied crosswing. It has two storeys and an attic, topped with a red plain tile roof and plain bargeboards on the gable of the crosswing. The building is timber framed and plastered, with a three-window range of small paned vertical sliding sashes. The front entrance includes a 19th-century recessed four-panel door with a light above, flanked by plain pilasters and topped with a flat canopy. At the rear of the house, there is a 19th-century pump with a handle and fluted head.
