Description

Brook Farmhouse is a house incorporating a 16th-century jettied crosswing and a 17th-century wing with a staircase on the north side. The house is two storeys and has an attic, with a gabled dormer window. It is constructed with an exposed timber frame and plaster infill, and has a plain red tile roof. The left side of the roof is gabled, and the right side is hipped, with a gable end crosswing projecting to the left. A small, red tile-clad gabled bay is located on the first floor of the crosswing. The windows are mostly square, leaded casements, some of which appear to be original. A boarded door is set within an arched head. The house dates from the late 16th or early 17th century. A red brick chimney stack is located off-centre.
