Description

Penn Cottage and Institute Villa is a house that has been converted into two cottages, likely dating from the 18th century. The building is timber framed and plastered, featuring 20th-century pargetting. It has a red plain tiled roof and is two storeys high with a four-range layout. The windows are small paned sliding sash types. The central entrance has an 18th or 19th-century board door, which is topped with a flat canopy supported by brackets. To the right, there is a lean-to addition with a 20th-century board door. The building has two red brick chimney stacks that are symmetrically placed, and there are pentice boards above the ground floor windows.
