Description
Drumadarragh is a cottage villa built after 1865, featuring two stories and three bays. The structure is made of whinstone and sandstone rubble, with ashlar margins and dressings, a base course, slightly advanced eaves, and exposed rafters.
The main southwest elevation has three bays, with a single-storey block to the outer left. The gabled bay, which is slightly advanced to the left, includes a quadripartite projecting square window at the ground level, a diaper cornice, and a lead roof. Above this is a broad tripartite, three-centred window that is timber mullioned and transomed. To the right is a four-panelled door with a letterbox fanlight, and a modern Velux rooflight above. The outer right features a tripartite window at ground level, with a gable breaking the eaves over a pointed-arch window above. The single-storey block to the outer left is recessed and has a bipartite window.
The windows are plate glass sash and case. The roof is covered with grey slate and has lead flashings. There is a coped sandstone ridge stack with circular cans, as well as a tall harled and coped wallhead stack with terracotta cans.
The interior was not seen in 1993. The boundary wall is made of whinstone with harl-pointing and has quartz and whinstone rubble coping. The gatepiers are stugged and rusticated, topped with pyramidal caps.
