Description

Circa 1860. Single storey and attic, 3-bay rectangular-plan cottage villa with service jamb at rear. Rubble and whinstone with ashlar margins and dressings. Whinstone and red sandstone; stugged quoins, base course; chamfered reveals; advanced eaves.

E (MAIN) ELEVATION: door at centre, 6-panelled, roll-moulded surround. Tripartite window at ground to right with gabled dormerhead breaking eaves above. Full-height canted bay window to left breaking eaves to form bell-cast roof, lead weathervane finial.

4-pane and plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate roof with lead flashings; sandstone ashlar ridge stacks with 4 corniced octagonal cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1994.
