Description

This is an 18th or 19th-century barn located in Sewards End, near Saffron Walden. It is timber-framed with weatherboarded ends. The north and south faces are rendered, with a skirt of black weatherboarding. The barn has a gabled thatched roof. The original three bays feature unjowled posts, arch braces to the tie-beams, and bracing interrupting the studs. The barn was later floored to create a loft.
