Description
The Cottage is a house dating from around 1800. It is timber-framed and plastered, with a thatched roof and a red brick chimney. The building has a T-shaped plan and is a single storey.
The south elevation features a long range of two windows with a central 20th-century boarded and battened door. The windows are restored sliding sashes with five panes by three panes (three by three and two by three). The roof is hipped.
On the east end elevation, there is a single 19th-century two-light casement window with two panes by two panes. The west end elevation has a 20th-century casement window. The rear north elevation includes a 20th-century off-centre wing that matches the style of the front. All windows are from the 20th century, including a French window leading into the old block and an adjacent door to the west of the addition.
