Description
Corringales is a house dating from the 16th century, located on Dunmow Road in Hatfield Heath. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure, with the upper floor displaying exposed framing on the front and part of the east wall. The roof is gabled and covered with peg tiles, featuring an off-centre, rebuilt concertina stack and a tall 19th-century stack with two diagonal shafts, located through the front roof slope towards the west end. There is a C20 gabled porch that has imitation timber framing, and the windows are 19th-century metal casements with rectangular leaded lights. An original small oak mullioned window is exposed on the first floor of the front elevation, along with long straight external braces. Additionally, there is a rear extension at the west end.
