Description

Wexford Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century. It is a timber-framed building with exposed timbers and plaster infill, topped by a plain tiled roof. The timber framing consists of small panels with some close studding. The house has a hipped roof with a central stack and a stack at the rear. There are two wooden casement windows on each floor, and a central half-glazed door protected by a raking tiled hood. A half-glazed door is also present on the left return, set within a gabled porch. A catslide extension projects from the rear of the building. A 16th-century wooden pattern, preserved at Brook Agricultural Museum, was found within the structure.
