Description
Nash's Farm House is a house dating from the 16th century, with 19th-century extensions. It is timber framed on a brick plinth, featuring brick infill and tile hanging above, topped with a plain tiled roof. The house has a ridge stack located to the right of center and a front stack at the left end. It stands two storeys high and has five leaded casement windows across the first floor. There is a diagonally boarded door to the left of center, set in a gabled half-glazed porch supported by wooden posts. To the right, there is a single-storey range that is set back, also tile hung, with an attic under a gabled dormer in a hipped roof. A 20th-century flat roof extension is located at the right end. Inside, the timber framing is visible, particularly in the ceilings, along with deep brick fireplaces that have wooden lintels. The first floor features a large collar beam and curved bracing.
