Description
Nos 4 to 8 on Cambridge Road is a late 19th century red brick building featuring white brick dressings and pilasters. The structure consists of a three-storey section at the south end with a three-to-one window arrangement, and a two-storey section at the north end with eight windows. The windows are double-hung sashes without glazing bars and have pointed arched heads. At the north end, two windows feature paired lights with stuccoed lintels. A brick cornice runs across the front below the second-storey windows and continues as an eaves cornice on the two-storey block, which is adorned with urns above the pilasters. The three-storey section has a parapet with finials above the pilasters, while the two-storey section has a tiled roof. The ground storey has a 20th-century shop front spanning the entire frontage, and there is a cart entrance at the south end.
