Description
Nos 14 to 22 on Westgate is an early 19th-century, three-storey row of buildings featuring eight windows in total. Constructed from red brick, the row has a slated roof with a moulded wooden eaves cornice, which is dentilled in parts. The fifth bay curves slightly, leading to a set-back section on the right. The central section uses larger bricks and showcases finely gauged brick arches with fluted keystones and stone sills beneath the sash windows, most of which retain glazing bars. Some windows have been altered to modern casements, and there are blank panels in the seventh bay. The ground floor has been adapted for modern shops.
