Description

No. 5 Silver Street is an early 19th-century house that is timber-framed and plastered. It stands two storeys high and features a four-window range with double-hung sash windows that have glazing bars. All the windows on the west front are fitted with louvred shutters. At the south end, there is a six-panel door and a canted bay, with a cornice extending over the doorway to form a porch supported by a post. The roof is tiled and hipped at both the north and south ends. The front of the house is protected by attractive 19th-century cast iron railings.
