Description
This is a house, likely dating from the 16th century or earlier. It is timber-framed and has been plastered externally, with a gabled roof covered in peg tiles. The house is two storeys high with attics, and includes a gabled dormer window on the north-west roof slope. The windows are double-hung sashes with two vertical glazing bars. Large chimney stacks are situated where it joins with the adjacent property at number 21, and are set in from the south-west gable. Inside, the timber frame is visible, featuring a jowled post on the ground floor, and a mortise indicating the former position of a cup brace to a tie beam. There is also a 19th-century arched corner cupboard and a pine spine beam. A single-storey building, possibly a kitchen, was later raised.
