Description
Linnets Hotel is a cottage that has been converted into part of a motel. It dates from the 17th century and has undergone later alterations and rear additions. The building features a timber frame that is rough rendered, topped with a red plain tiled roof and a central red brick chimney stack. It is one storey high with attics and includes two square-headed dormers with small paned casements. There are three different types of windows; to the left is a small paned bow oriel window with a flat canopy supported by pierced brackets. To the right, there is a vertically boarded door. At the rear left, there is a single-storey extension with a red pantiled roof, a small paned casement window, and a 20th-century plank and muntin door. The cottage has two bays and a central chimney stack. Internally, some timber framing is visible, including side girts, top plates, and wall studs.
