Description

Red Roofs is an 18th-century house located on the north side of Thorpe Road in Kirby Cross. The building is constructed of red brick and features a hipped roof covered with red plain tiles, which includes two glazed lights. There are red brick chimney stacks on both the right and left sides. The house has two storeys and attics, with three windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor. All windows are three-light vertically sliding sashes with gauged brick arches, except for the central window on the first floor, which has two lights. Each window is fitted with shutters, and the ground floor windows are tall. The central entrance consists of a four-panelled two-light door, which is framed by a reeded surround and topped with a flat canopy. Inside, there is a stick staircase along with original doors and surrounds.
