Description

This barn, located approximately 80 metres south west of Kirby Hall, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, resting on a brick plinth. The roof is made of corrugated asbestos and features a gabled midstrey outshot to the right, which includes a granary. The barn has five bays and a side purlin roof that is pegged at the ridge. The walls are supported by through bracing, and there are hanging knees supporting the tie beams.
