Description

This barn, located approximately 40 metres north-west of Lodge Farmhouse, dates from the 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, sitting on a brick plinth and topped with a grey slate roof. The barn features two midstreys and has an intact frame that incorporates some re-used timber. The roof is supported by a side purlin ridge board, and the walls exhibit through bracing. Notable features include cast iron hanging knees and bolted halved and bladed top plate scarfs. The barn is included for its group value.
