Description

A row of cottages built in the 19th century, located on North Street, Rochford. The cottages are constructed of gault brick with a grey slate roof, hipped at the right and left forward bays. There are two chimney stacks on the right and left returns, as well as two front and two rear chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and a double-bay arrangement repeated three times. It features a 2:2:2 window range of small-paned vertically sliding sash windows, each with a gauged brick arch. The central doorways, paired for each double bay, have moulded double semi-circular heads, moulded scroll brackets, and moulded cornices. The doors themselves are panelled with five and six panels respectively.
