Description
Nos. 2-8 Weir Pond Road is a row of cottages dating from the 17th or 18th century, with later alterations and additions. The cottages are timber framed and plastered, with a weatherboarded plinth. They feature red plain tiled roofs, with the roof of No. 2 on the right being at a higher level. There is a chimney stack at the rear of No. 8, a large ridge stack located between Nos. 4 and 6, and another ridge stack to the right of No. 2. The cottages are one storey with attics, and each has four gabled dormers with barge boards, matching the windows on the ground floor. The row has a six-window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes, with pentice boards above. There are four various doors, each with simple surrounds and pentice boards over them.
