Description

A headstone dated 1717 is located approximately 15 metres southeast of the southeast angle of the chancel of the Church of All Saints in Barling Magna. The headstone is made of stone and features a curved head with scrolled sides, supported by bases that enclose skulls. It is decorated with rayed clouds and a central winged cherub head above an hourglass, commemorating Mary Dennis, the wife of Thomas Dennis, in August 1717.
