Description

The headstone, dating from the 18th century, is located approximately 9 metres southeast of the southeast angle of the chancel of the Church of All Saints in Barling Magna. It is made of stone and features a scrolled and curved head with a central skull and crossbones. The inscription commemorates William Hammond, with the date partially obscured, reading 17?7.
