Description
This barn, dating from the 18th to 19th century, is located approximately 30 metres north-west of Reigate Cottage along Langford Road in Wickham Bishops. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, standing on a brick plinth. The barn features a half-hipped grey slate roof and has a flipped midstrey facing the farmyard. There is a vertically boarded door and a loft door that open onto the road. The structure likely consists of five bays and is currently in use for grain storage. The roof is supported by a side purlin ridge board, with through bracing on the walls and hanging knees on the tie beams. The barn has good group value with Reigate Cottage and the nearby barn.
