Description
Orchard Cottage is a Grade II listed building that dates back to around 1782 and was originally the outer pavilion of Langford Grove, which was demolished in 1952. The cottage is constructed from gault brick and features a grey slate roof with two gault brick chimney stacks. It stands two storeys tall and has an attached single-storey link block to the left (east), which includes a parapet and three recessed semi-circular arches. The main block has a pedimented gable and a central band, with tie plates at the recessed angles. The ground floor has three recessed semi-circular arches, while the first floor contains three casement windows with cast iron ventilators above. The recessed arches now feature 20th-century vari-light windows, and there is a central board door leading to the link block, along with a 20th-century door positioned in the right arch of the main range.
