Description

This barn, located approximately 60 metres north-north-east of Hatfield Wick Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, with a roof made of red clay corrugated tiles. The barn has eight bays aligned roughly northwest to southeast, featuring two midstreys on the southwest side. The main frame is constructed from hardwood and uses pegged construction, with primary straight bracing and bolted knees to the tiebeams. The roof is supported by joggled butt purlins.
