Description
Vinehurst is a house that dates back to the 14th century, with alterations made in the 16th and 19th centuries. It is timber framed, covered in plaster and weatherboarding, and has a slate roof. The main hall range faces northwest and features two axial stacks near the right end, along with a single-storey lean-to extension at the rear. The house has two storeys. On the ground floor, there are two early 19th-century splayed bay windows, one early 19th-century sash window with 16 lights, and one 20th-century casement window. The first floor has three early 19th-century sash windows, each with 4 + 8 lights. The roof is low-pitched, and there is no door on the front elevation. On the left side, there is one 19th-century horizontal sash window with 4 lights. Originally, the house had an open hall structure, with the first floor being added in the mid-16th century and the top rebuilt in the 19th century. Some parts of the original 14th-century roof remain in the cross partitions.
