Description
Shepherd's Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is timber framed and plastered, with a roof covered in handmade red clay tiles. The main part of the house is two stories tall and aligned northeast to southwest, featuring a 20th-century external chimney on the southeast side. There is a shorter one-story range with an attic on the northwest end, which has an internal stack at the junction of the tiles and a lean-to extension in the corner. The northeast elevation facing Church Road has a two-window range of 20th-century casements. The southeast elevation includes two 20th-century casements on the ground floor, one on the first floor, and a 20th-century half-glazed door. The structure has a hardwood frame with jowled posts.
