Description

The Grange is a house located on Grange Road in Wickham Bishops, dating from the early to mid-19th century, with possible earlier origins. It features a red brick facade and a red plain tiled roof, complemented by four red brick chimney stacks. The building has a dentilled eaves cornice and stands two storeys tall with attics. The front has a three-window range of tripartite small paned vertically sliding sashes. The central entrance consists of a two-panelled four-light door, flanked by pilasters with moulded capitals and bases, and topped by a semi-circular light with glazing bars and a red brick arch above. The gable attics are adorned with large semi-circular windows that also have glazing bars and red brick arches. Inside, there is a stick staircase with a wreathed handrail and enclosed bridging joists.
