The Mitre is a public house dating from the 18th century, with later additions and alterations. It features a red brick facade and a red plain tiled gambrel roof that is half hipped to the right, adorned with four catslide dormers. There are off-centre and rear right red brick chimney stacks. The ground floor on the left has three small paned vertically sliding sash windows, and similar windows are present in the dormers. To the centre and right, there is a single-storey extension with a grey slate roof that is hipped to the right, featuring a range of three windows that includes single and two-light vertically sliding sashes with glazing bars. The entrance has an enclosed gabled porch with a 20th-century two-panel, two-light door.
