Description

Primrose Cottages are a pair of cottages dating from the 18th century. They are timber-framed with a painted brick facade. The roof is red plain tiles in a gambrel style, extending outwards at the rear, and includes two catslide dormers. A central chimney stack is constructed of red brick. The cottages feature two-light casement windows with small panes, each set within a gauged brick arch. There are two vertically boarded doors, also with gauged brick arches. Many original interior features remain, including vertically bead-boarded doors, first-floor floorboards, newel stairs, and corner cupboards in the kitchen, which have panelled doors. Modern bathroom extensions have been added to the rear of the cottages.
