Description

This is a cottage, originally the coach house to High Hall. It was likely built around 1840. The building is constructed of red brick with a red plain tiled roof. A central square brick chimney stack rises prominently, featuring four large, ornate circular shafts decorated with twisted and fleuron moulded brickwork. The central section is a two-storey forward gable with dentilled eaves and a moulded cornice. The main range is single-storey with attics, and incorporates left and right flat-headed eaves dormers. There are three bays of windows, each containing a 1, 2, or 3-light leaded casement with Gothic heads. A three-step approach leads to a board door on the left return of the gable.
