Description
Cherry Tree Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 16th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. It is timber framed and plastered, featuring pargetting on the ground floor to the right. The roofs are covered with red plain tiles, with the left range having a gambrel shape, and both ranges have forward red tiled lean-to extensions. There are two red brick chimney stacks, with the one on the right being external. The left range is one storey with attics, while the right range has two storeys. The right range has two first floor windows and a ground floor that features a 2:4 arrangement of mainly diamond leaded casements. A gabled red tiled open porch is present on the right range, leading to a boarded door. A modern plaque on the cottage reads "1531."
