Description
1 and 2 Beacon Cottages is a house that has been divided into two dwellings. It dates from the 18th century or earlier and features a 20th-century porch and rear extensions. The structure is timber framed and has panel pargetting. The roof is covered with red plain tiles and is hipped on the right and left crosswings. There are two red brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a window arrangement of 1:2:1, consisting of 18th-century small paned vertically sliding sashes with pentice boards above. The 20th-century part-glazed doors lead to the left and right single-storey extensions. Internally, the side girts, top plates, and bridging joists of the original frame are visible, along with some vertically boarded doors.
