Description
Ostlery, Granary, and Kennels are outbuildings located to the west and rear of Boarded Barns Farm House. They date from the 16th century or earlier for the granary, with a stable and grooms room from the 16th century or earlier on the left, and 18th or 19th century dog kennels on the right. The buildings are timber framed, primarily weatherboarded, with some rendering on the stable. The granary features three bays with heavy stop-chamfered beams and later iron tie bars with iron roundel stops. The grooms room and stable have halved bracing, and there are two small paned casements from the 17th or 18th century. The granary's first floor has four casements. The roofs are covered with red plain tiles for the main ranges and red Roman tiles for the attached weatherboarded kennels, which have three single and three double doors, all made of heavy vertical boarding, some with wrought catches and hinges.
