Description
The building is a cartlodge with an integral dovecote, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, featuring a hipped roof made of red plain tiles. Atop this is a weatherboarded dovecote with a hipped roof covered in grey slate, which has three holes for the pigeons. The main nesting area is located between the inserted floor at the eaves level. The structure consists of three bays, with solid braces supporting the top plate and through bracing in the walls. It has a side purlin roof structure. This building is notable for its unusual and picturesque appearance in a rural setting.
