TL 50 SE ONGAR SHELLEY (Off Ongar Road) 5/152 Outbuildings, including Stables, Barn, Stallion Shed, surrounding a Cattle Yard to NE of Boarded Barns Farmhouse

Outbuildings C18/and early C19. Mainly timber framed and weatherboarded with red plain and Roman tile roofs, with one range of C18 red brick with flared headers. The South range of 4 Stallion Stables with original doors, partitions and feeding troughs, partitions and gates with iron rails and ball finials. Vertical headed weatherboard throughout. N.W. of this is a 3 range block comprising a 4 bay cartlodge with hanging knees to uprights and through bracing. 5 Bay barn with queen strut roof, through bracing, 2 doors and 2 windows. 2 bay building with a stable door. Some original catches. North range. 5 bay open front cattle shed and return. East range of C18 red brick with flared headers, hipped red pantile roof and 2 stable doors and 5 windows to outer wall.
