Description

Abbott's Hall is a house dating from around 1500, built in an H-plan layout. The building is plastered with an exposed timber frame on the north end, and both cross-wings are jettied on knees. The roofs are ridged, gabled, and covered with peg tiles. There are two gabled dormers with sliding sash windows on the hall roof, and each wing is two bays long. The windows are a mix of casements and sashes. The entrance is located in the cross-passage, and there is a large red brick chimney flanking the north wing. The hall range features a brick front with a dentilled eaves cornice.
