Description
Brick Stables House is a 16th century building, named on the Chapman & Andres map of 1776. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure with a complex plan, primarily in an L shape. The roofs are ridged, gabled, and covered with peg tiles, and there are four red-brick chimney stacks, all recently topped. The roofs have varying eaves and ridge heights. The windows are of mixed types and dates, with irregular spacing. The front of the house has a central door set in a pedimented case with consoles, flanked by modern casements. On the first storey, there is a range of three matching windows, with an old round-headed sash window in the center.
