Description

The Vines is an early to mid-19th century house located at The Quay in Wivenhoe. It is constructed of painted brick laid in Flemish bond, topped with a peg-tile roof.

The exterior features a cottage design with two storeys and two bays, characterized by a ridged and gabled roof with eaves. On the south elevation, there is a central door on the ground floor set in a case with concentric indents, topped by a leaded hood. This door is flanked by two horned, 8 over 8 sash windows, which have added external shutters. The first floor has two matching windows.

The interior has not been inspected.
