Description

Alice’s Cottage is a small, one-and-a-half-storey timber-framed building, likely dating to the 17th century or earlier. The south elevation has been rendered and the east end is built of red brick. The roof is gabled with machine tiles, featuring a red brick chimney at the north-west eaves and a flat dormer in the south-central section. A plain door and a pair of small-paned sash windows are present on the ground storey. A 19th-century painted weather-boarded extension, one bay and two storeys high, extends along Brook Street, with a ringed gabled slate roof and two small-paned sashes on the first storey, alongside half-doors on the ground storey.
