Description

Smarts Cottage is a small cottage that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions. It is timber framed and has a rough rendered exterior. The roof is covered with red plain tiles and features a gabled dormer on the right side. There is a red brick chimney stack and a wing at the rear of the building. The cottage has one storey and attics, with a two-window range that includes one 18th-century horizontal sliding sash window with glazing bars and one 20th-century casement window. The central entrance is a vertically boarded door.
