Description
Keepers Cottage is a cottage that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. It features a timber frame and is faced with 18th-century red brick. The cottage has a thatched roof with two eyebrow dormers and is a single storey building. There is a red plain tiled extension that is hipped to the left and a lean-to red pantile extension to the right. The cottage has central and left red brick chimney stacks. The main range is one storey with attics and has a window arrangement of one central and three side windows, all square leaded casements with segmental arches. Inside, there are 18th-century stairs, stop-chamfered bridging joists, and a fireplace with a stop-chamfered beam above. Some timber framing is exposed, and there is a door detail from the 17th or 18th century.
